Freight Technologies, a B2B shipping provider, has expanded its scope by teaming with transportation company Majoba.

The firms announced their agreement, claiming that Mexico-based Majoba Logistics will connect its fleet to Freight Technologies’ (Fr8Tech) Fr8App platform, allowing the companies to offer their clients a larger choice of products and services.

According to a corporate press release, Fr8App is a North American B2B cross-border transportation platform driven by machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).

“Focused on making shipping transparent and efficient, Fr8App provides carriers with improved business prospects and shippers with flexibility, visibility, and simplicity for the once-complex process of international over-the-road (OTR) shipping,” according to the statement.

During an earnings call, Ryder System Chairman and CEO Robert Sanchez stated that value-added logistics solutions enabled by technology are in great demand and are contributing significantly to new business.

Furthermore, Ryder has made investments in businesses focused on sectors such as autonomous vehicle technology, eCommerce fulfilment, and digital solutions that aid in freight efficiency.

“Our investments here expand key connections to enable the development of innovative products that benefit our customers and strengthen our position as an industry leader,” Sanchez explained.

Meanwhile, according to new study, over half of all transportation and logistics organisations expect to innovate their accounts payable (AP) systems within the next three years.
