Google is taking another major step in the evolution of digital advertising by expanding the capabilities of its Gemini AI across its advertising ecosystem. Announced during Google Marketing Live India 2026, the company introduced new AI-powered solutions, including BrandStack and Business Agent for Leads, designed to help businesses create, manage, and optimize marketing campaigns more efficiently.

The latest updates highlight Google’s broader vision of making artificial intelligence an integral part of the advertising process. Instead of using AI only for content generation or search experiences, Google is embedding Gemini directly into campaign planning, customer engagement, lead generation, and performance optimization.

For marketers, agencies, and businesses, these innovations represent more than just new features, they signal a shift toward intelligent, AI-assisted marketing that can deliver better results while reducing manual effort.

Gemini Expands Beyond Search

Gemini has already become Google’s flagship AI model, powering several products across Search, Workspace, and Android. Now, Google is extending those capabilities into advertising, allowing marketers to leverage AI throughout the campaign lifecycle.

Rather than relying on manual optimization, marketers can use Gemini-powered tools to analyze campaign performance, identify opportunities, generate creative assets, and improve audience targeting.

This integration enables businesses to make faster decisions while ensuring campaigns remain aligned with customer behavior and marketing goals.

As AI becomes more deeply integrated into advertising platforms, marketers can spend less time managing routine tasks and more time developing strategies that drive growth.

Introducing Business Agent for Leads

One of the most significant announcements is Business Agent for Leads, an AI-powered assistant designed to improve how businesses engage with potential customers.

The tool helps businesses respond to customer inquiries directly from advertisements, creating a conversational experience that reduces friction during the lead generation process.

Instead of requiring users to visit multiple pages or complete lengthy forms, the AI agent can answer questions, provide relevant information, and guide prospects toward the next step.

This conversational approach offers several advantages:

  • Faster responses to customer inquiries
  • Improved lead qualification
  • Higher engagement rates
  • Better customer experiences
  • Reduced workload for sales teams

For businesses that depend on online lead generation, this feature has the potential to improve conversion rates while streamlining customer interactions.

BrandStack Simplifies Video Advertising

Google also introduced BrandStack, a new AI-powered solution designed to help advertisers maximize the impact of YouTube campaigns.

Video has become one of the most influential marketing channels, but managing multiple campaigns across different audience segments can be challenging.

BrandStack simplifies this process by helping marketers plan, launch, and measure YouTube advertising campaigns from a unified platform.

With Gemini providing intelligent recommendations, advertisers can better understand audience behavior, optimize campaign performance, and improve brand visibility.

The platform also enables businesses to combine brand-building activities with performance marketing, allowing them to achieve both awareness and conversion objectives within a single strategy.

AI Is Transforming Campaign Management

Traditional campaign management often involves manual adjustments, continuous monitoring, and repetitive optimization tasks.

Google’s Gemini-powered tools are changing that process by introducing AI-driven automation.

Instead of constantly reviewing campaign data, marketers receive intelligent recommendations based on real-time performance.

AI can help optimize:

  • Budget allocation
  • Audience targeting
  • Keyword selection
  • Ad placements
  • Campaign performance
  • Creative recommendations

By automating these processes, businesses can improve efficiency while reducing the time spent on campaign management.

This allows marketing teams to focus on strategy, creativity, and customer engagement rather than routine operational work.

Better Lead Generation Through AI

Lead generation remains one of the biggest priorities for marketing teams.

However, attracting qualified prospects has become increasingly competitive as customer expectations continue to evolve.

Google’s Business Agent for Leads addresses this challenge by using AI to engage potential customers at the moment they express interest.

Rather than waiting for customers to complete forms or schedule calls, businesses can initiate meaningful conversations immediately.

This real-time engagement helps businesses:

  • Capture high-intent leads
  • Improve response times
  • Reduce lead abandonment
  • Deliver personalized interactions
  • Increase conversion opportunities

For B2B organizations, where sales cycles are often longer, qualifying leads earlier can significantly improve sales efficiency.

AI-Powered Personalization at Scale

Modern consumers expect personalized experiences across every digital channel.

Gemini enables advertisers to deliver more relevant messaging by analyzing user behavior, search intent, and engagement patterns.

Instead of showing identical advertisements to every user, AI can recommend content that aligns with individual interests.

This level of personalization improves:

  • Click-through rates
  • Customer engagement
  • Conversion rates
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Marketing ROI

As personalization becomes increasingly important, AI will continue to play a central role in delivering relevant customer experiences.

Benefits for Marketing Teams

Google’s latest AI capabilities offer several practical advantages for marketing professionals.

1. Improved Productivity

AI automates repetitive marketing tasks, allowing teams to focus on strategic initiatives.

2. Smarter Decision-Making

Real-time insights help marketers optimize campaigns faster than traditional reporting methods.

3. Enhanced Customer Experiences

Conversational AI creates more engaging interactions that improve customer satisfaction.

4. Better Campaign Performance

AI continuously analyzes performance data and recommends improvements.

5. Higher Marketing ROI

Improved targeting and optimization help businesses maximize advertising budgets.

Together, these benefits enable organizations to achieve better results without increasing operational complexity.

What This Means for B2B Businesses

Although these innovations benefit businesses across industries, B2B organizations stand to gain significantly.

B2B purchasing decisions often involve multiple stakeholders, longer sales cycles, and detailed product research.

AI-powered advertising can support these complex buying journeys by delivering relevant information, qualifying leads, and guiding prospects through the decision-making process.

Marketing and sales teams also benefit from improved collaboration as AI helps identify high-quality leads based on customer intent and engagement.

This enables sales representatives to focus their efforts on prospects with the highest likelihood of conversion.

Challenges to Consider

While AI-powered advertising offers substantial benefits, businesses should also approach implementation thoughtfully.

Organizations should consider:

  • Data privacy and regulatory compliance
  • Transparency in AI-generated recommendations
  • Human oversight of automated decisions
  • Maintaining consistent brand messaging
  • Integrating AI tools with existing marketing platforms

Successful AI adoption depends on balancing automation with human expertise.

Marketing professionals will continue to play a vital role in developing strategies, reviewing AI outputs, and ensuring campaigns align with business objectives.

The Future of AI-Powered Advertising

Google’s latest announcements reflect a broader transformation taking place across the marketing technology industry.

Advertising platforms are evolving from automation tools into intelligent marketing assistants capable of supporting nearly every stage of campaign execution.

Future developments are likely to include:

  • More autonomous campaign optimization
  • Advanced conversational advertising
  • Predictive audience targeting
  • AI-generated creative assets
  • Smarter attribution models
  • Enhanced cross-channel campaign management

As AI capabilities continue to mature, marketers will gain access to increasingly sophisticated tools that improve efficiency while delivering more personalized customer experiences.

Conclusion

Google’s introduction of BrandStack and Business Agent for Leads, powered by Gemini, marks another important milestone in the evolution of AI-driven advertising. By embedding artificial intelligence into campaign planning, lead generation, and customer engagement, Google is helping businesses simplify marketing operations while improving campaign performance.

For marketers, these innovations offer an opportunity to move beyond manual optimization and embrace a more intelligent, data-driven approach to advertising. As AI becomes a standard feature across digital marketing platforms, organizations that adopt these capabilities early will be better positioned to engage customers, generate quality leads, and achieve stronger marketing outcomes.

The future of advertising is no longer just automated—it is intelligent, conversational, and powered by AI. Google’s latest Gemini advancements demonstrate how that future is rapidly becoming a reality.

Ride-hailing giant Uber has taken another major step toward expanding its role in India’s transportation and logistics ecosystem. The company recently announced the launch of two new services in Bengaluru: a business-focused goods delivery solution and metro ticket booking directly through the Uber app.

These initiatives highlight Uber’s broader strategy to evolve beyond traditional ride-hailing and position itself as a comprehensive platform for mobility, logistics, and digital services. By integrating with India’s Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), Uber aims to simplify transportation and delivery while strengthening the country’s growing digital commerce infrastructure.

The new services not only improve convenience for consumers but also create new opportunities for businesses and driver partners across Bengaluru.

Uber Introduces Uber Direct for Business Deliveries

One of the most significant parts of this launch is Uber Direct, a logistics service designed primarily for businesses. Unlike regular courier services that operate as standalone delivery platforms, Uber Direct acts as a logistics infrastructure that companies can integrate directly into their own websites or mobile apps.

With Uber Direct, businesses can manage deliveries without needing to build or operate their own delivery network. The system connects businesses with Uber’s large network of drivers, enabling fast and efficient last-mile delivery.

This service is designed to support companies that require reliable delivery operations, including retailers, restaurants, and e-commerce platforms.

How Uber Direct Works

Uber Direct functions as a behind-the-scenes logistics system that powers deliveries for businesses.

The process typically works in the following way:

  1. A customer places an order through a brand’s website or mobile app.
  2. The order is automatically sent to Uber’s logistics network.
  3. A nearby driver partner accepts the delivery request.
  4. The driver picks up the package and delivers it to the customer.

Because Uber already has a large network of drivers operating in the city, businesses can access quick and flexible delivery options without investing in their own fleet.

Uber Direct supports both on-demand deliveries and scheduled deliveries, giving businesses greater control over how they manage their logistics operations.

Supporting Businesses with Scalable Logistics

The introduction of Uber Direct creates a powerful logistics solution for companies operating in Bengaluru. Businesses can now rely on Uber’s infrastructure to handle deliveries, which reduces operational complexity and improves efficiency.

Companies using the service benefit from several advantages:

  • Faster last-mile delivery
  • Reduced logistics costs
  • Access to a large delivery network
  • Flexible delivery scheduling
  • Real-time tracking and delivery updates

Initially, the service focuses on delivering groceries, essential items, and retail products. However, Uber plans to expand the service to support food delivery for major restaurant brands and local businesses in the future.

For companies that operate online ordering platforms, Uber Direct acts as a delivery engine that seamlessly integrates with their existing systems.

Metro Ticket Booking Now Available in the Uber App

Alongside its logistics expansion, Uber has also introduced metro ticket booking within the Uber app for commuters in Bengaluru.

This new feature allows users to purchase QR-based metro tickets directly through the app. Payments can be completed using UPI, making the process quick and convenient for daily commuters.

With this feature, users can:

  • View metro routes and stations
  • Purchase tickets digitally
  • Receive QR codes for station entry
  • Access travel information directly in the app

By integrating metro ticketing, Uber is moving closer to offering a multi-modal transportation platform that combines ride-hailing with public transit.

Improving Urban Commuting

Public transportation plays a critical role in large cities like Bengaluru, where traffic congestion can significantly impact daily travel. By enabling metro ticket purchases inside the Uber app, the company is helping commuters simplify their travel experience.

Instead of using separate apps or waiting in line at ticket counters, passengers can plan and pay for metro rides digitally.

This feature also supports first-mile and last-mile connectivity, allowing users to combine metro travel with Uber rides to complete their journeys more efficiently.

For example, a commuter might take an Uber ride to the nearest metro station and then continue their journey using the metro system.

Expansion of Metro Ticketing in India

The Bengaluru rollout is part of a larger strategy to bring metro ticket booking to multiple cities across India.

Uber has already introduced similar services in other metropolitan areas, and the company plans to expand the feature further as more transit systems adopt digital ticketing technologies.

The goal is to create a unified mobility experience where users can access multiple transportation options from a single platform.

As urban transportation networks continue to grow, digital integrations like this can make commuting faster and more convenient for millions of people.

The Role of ONDC in the Integration

A key factor behind these new services is the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), a government-supported initiative designed to create an open and interoperable digital commerce ecosystem.

ONDC allows different platforms, sellers, and service providers to interact through a shared network, making it easier for businesses and logistics companies to collaborate.

By building services on top of this network, Uber can connect with a broader ecosystem of businesses and digital platforms.

This integration helps support:

  • Open and interoperable commerce systems
  • Greater competition and innovation
  • Easier digital transactions
  • Expanded logistics networks

For businesses that are already part of the ONDC ecosystem, Uber Direct becomes a convenient delivery partner.

New Opportunities for Driver Partners

The launch of these services also creates new opportunities for Uber’s driver partners.

Drivers who are part of Uber’s platform can participate in goods delivery operations in addition to traditional ride-hailing trips. This provides more flexibility and potentially increases earning opportunities.

With both passenger trips and delivery services available, drivers can take advantage of a wider range of requests throughout the day.

This expanded service model also helps improve overall network efficiency by keeping drivers active on the platform.

Uber’s Broader Vision for Mobility

Uber’s long-term vision extends far beyond ride-hailing. The company aims to transform its platform into a complete ecosystem for mobility and logistics.

The goal is to allow users to access multiple services through a single application. Over time, this could include:

  • Ride-hailing services
  • Public transportation ticketing
  • Goods and parcel delivery
  • Food delivery
  • Intercity travel options

By bringing these services together, Uber hopes to simplify how people move, shop, and receive deliveries in modern cities.

Impact on India’s Urban Ecosystem

India’s rapidly growing urban population requires smarter transportation and logistics solutions. Cities like Bengaluru face challenges related to congestion, delivery demand, and infrastructure limitations.

Services like Uber Direct and integrated metro ticketing can help address these challenges by making transportation and logistics more efficient.

These innovations may help:

  • Improve last-mile delivery for businesses
  • Simplify urban commuting
  • Reduce operational costs for retailers
  • Enhance connectivity between transportation systems

As digital platforms continue to evolve, integrated services like these are likely to become increasingly common.

What’s Next for Uber in India

India remains one of Uber’s most important global markets, and the company continues to invest heavily in expanding its services.

The success of the Bengaluru launch could lead to similar rollouts in other major cities across the country.

Future developments may include:

  • Expanding Uber Direct to additional cities
  • Integrating more retailers and restaurants into the delivery network
  • Expanding metro ticketing to more transportation systems
  • Introducing new mobility solutions for urban travel

As technology continues to transform transportation and commerce, Uber is positioning itself as a central platform within this evolving ecosystem.

Conclusion

Uber’s launch of goods delivery and metro ticket booking in Bengaluru represents a major step in the company’s expansion strategy.

By combining logistics services with public transportation integration, Uber is moving toward becoming a multi-service digital platform that supports both businesses and consumers.

Uber Direct provides companies with scalable delivery infrastructure, while metro ticket booking simplifies daily commuting for city residents.

As these services expand to more cities, they could play a significant role in shaping the future of urban mobility and digital commerce in India.

A $120 million fund has been established by UK-based Spex Capital to help MedTech and digital healthcare companies.

The Spex Venture Health-Tech Fund was announced on Monday, February 27. It will invest up to $6 million in early-stage health technology companies at a time when consumers are increasingly using digital-first health services.

Claudio D’Angelo, founder and CEO of Spex, stated in a statement that “even before COVID-19, the push for governments to increase their use of digital technology in healthcare had already begun.”

“We will have unparalleled access to the top entrepreneurs in this industry thanks to our fund, our relationship with MedCity, and a vast network of high-caliber senior advisers,” said the fund’s founder.

According to the press release, the MedCity partnership links the company to the National Health Service of the United Kingdom, which may help early-stage businesses in the industry become “stronger, more scalable firms.”

Considering half of all customers interacting with healthcare providers through a combination of digital and physical channels, the launch coincides with the healthcare sector’s shift to a hybrid but digital-first paradigm.

Internet options have widened access to healthcare services for 73 million people who would not otherwise have the time or money for an in-person medical visit, according to the project “How Digital Has Changed the Consumer Healthcare Experience and Expectations” by CareCredit.

According to the poll, clients who are struggling financially and desire less expensive, more adaptable solutions are particularly interested in healthcare options.

According to a press release from ShiftMed, the platform, which links healthcare providers with certified nurses, wants to increase its national presence in the healthcare industry.

According to ShiftMed CEO Todd Walrath, “Healthcare providers continue to struggle with access to credentialed personnel as patient requirements and volume continue to climb.” ShiftMed is well-positioned to offer health systems a W-2 solution that complies with regulations and makes use of nearby and part-time resources.

Instead of focusing on travel staffing, ShiftMed focuses on offering access to local employees. It also has an automated platform for workforce management that enables workforce optimization. According to the press release, these services help healthcare providers lower their operating costs by 30% to 40%.

According to CEO and Founder of Clipboard Health Wei Deng, nurses have long desired more control over their shifts as well as scheduling and payment flexibility.

They, along with other healthcare professionals, desire sufficient employment to support themselves on a full-time basis, but “they don’t necessarily want somebody telling them what hours to work,” according to Deng at the time.

According to Julie Dunphy, chief financial officer of Gale Healthcare Solutions, there is also a persistent shortage of nurses and other healthcare professionals, which is leaving clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes understaffed.

“Embedded finance is in its first inning,” if the FinTech “revolution” following the financial crisis is still in its early stages.

We’re just scratching the surface, according to Matthew Valente, head of product strategy at FIS, as conventional financial institutions and FinTechs collaborate to provide everything from bank accounts to lending products to a wider audience through digital channels.

Whereas many onlookers could conflate the phrases embedded finance and BaaS, Valente explained the differences between the two. He put it this way: “Embedded finance is the real “experience” supplied to the individual consumer or business client, while banking-as-a-service is the “enabler” of embedded finance.

An Organic Evolution

We’re witnessing a development in embedded finance, he continued.

Uber may stand out as one of the pioneering instances of how to integrate payments seamlessly into the consumer experience, but Valente pointed out that restaurants, software platforms, and stores have all been catching on. According to Valente, banks, particularly those that use FIS as a service, have grown more interested in offering BaaS.

The macro headwinds that are now there won’t stop the rise of BaaS and embedded finance, he claimed. Most businesses, big and small, are revising their investment plans for the coming year. But since there is a need, as Valente noted, growing financial services, payments, and loans will be on their agendas.

Brazil demonstrates how a smartphone may increase financial inclusion and provide underprivileged individuals with access to bank accounts.

According to Mario Shiliashki, CEO of PayU Global Payments, bringing financial services to underserved populations and assisting them in moving beyond cash-based transactions will require extensive, collaborative efforts between traditional and nontraditional financial services players and regulators.

Financial inclusion calls for more than simply technology for the 1.7 billion unbanked and underbanked individuals and 200 million unbanked and underbanked small enterprises.

Regulators must adjust their approaches a little and broaden the frameworks that control data collection and usage for that ecosystem to emerge. He clarified that other companies are also developing new goods and services to fulfill consumer demand, not simply FinTechs.

“Banks are attempting to work with FinTechs to deliver better services,” he added, not merely play catch-up.

According to him, these coordinated efforts make it simpler for businesses and individuals to accept new accounts that are backed but not necessarily “managed” by banks. Then, the transaction accounts serve as a launchpad for fresh experiences and offerings.

Bankless to mobile banking transition

He cited a number of instances when banks, FinTechs, and regulators worked together to advance financial inclusion. Brazil has witnessed development for PayU, which offers cross-border commerce and payment functions through a single connection. And in that market, 70% of Brazilians currently utilize Pix, the quick payment system the Brazilian Central Bank introduced in 2020, in billions of transactions.

In what had been a “under-carded market,” he added, “the adoption has been amazing because adoption has been encouraged by the government, by established institutions,” and by FinTechs.

Top Tips for Running an International Business from Home

Today with the recent spurt of social media and digitization it has become very easy for international businesses to build and at the same time thrive. Another reason for it is the technology which is growing and changing rapidly and is responsible for the spread of international business.

Taking your business worldwide will expose you to thousands of opportunities and ideas. It takes a lot of time, capital, and effort but if everything is done correctly it does wonder for your company’s growth and prosperity. Before taking any big step you always make plans and strategies so that you could eliminate the chances of backlashes and downfall, similarly, international business is to be planned for after conducting the proper research, and analysis, and when you have sufficient resources for it.

Do you wish to take your business worldwide and grow it internationally?

Here are some of the tips and strategies which you can use while expanding your business internationally.

  1. Start from the beginning
Be an early starter. Do not start somewhere in the middle. Be sure of the goals which you want to pursue and what is the intention of your business. Plan your approach strategically and pay attention to the long-term and the short-term goals which you want to achieve. The sooner you will realize the better it is as you will be able to track your business metrics and make them successful. An early start will give you enough time for doing further research and testing for your business which otherwise becomes difficult due to the time constraints.
  2. Research Local Markets
Researching is the key to doing the thing. Every business has different needs and goals which they work towards and for that, they need to research a lot to analyze all the possible threats and opportunities that could come after you start it. Do not blindly follow any trends which you are not sure of or that you wish to follow simply because others are doing them. Research carefully what you want and how you want it to be done. Also as a business owner, you need to understand what goes into making your business or who you are your competitors.
  3. Travel like a Pro
Digitization and the world coming closer is alright but you will still have to travel to different places if you plan to expand your business elsewhere because everything cannot be done sitting in one place. Expanding your business internationally calls for a lot of traveling abroad to research, make contacts, and mainly manage the work. It is very important because traveling and exploring will acquaint you with new opportunities and ideas that could be brought into the business.
  4. Communicate with Locals
There are so many people that you meet and if you pay attention, all of them could teach you a lot of things. Meeting new people is the first thing which you will do when you chart off to international borders, therefore, remember that you will be meeting different kinds of people and imbibe their culture. This will, in turn, be beneficial for your business. Having a closed mindset will get you nowhere and you can suffer a lot due to it. It will help you with your overall business expansion and gain the required knowledge for going international.
  5. Gather the necessary information
There is a lot of information available online about a lot of things but sometimes all the information found on the net is not correct and there are chances you might go the wrong way. There are many different kinds of travel books available specifically about international business. You could choose the right kind of books from the pool of knowledge. You should gather enough knowledge about everything related to your business so that you can bring more creativity to your work and reduce the chances of losses.
  6. Network & Build contacts
Keeping in touch with people and building contacts is a good thing as it helps your business in developing different networking skills and generate potential clients. You can also indulge in networking via Google Hangout or chats and can make a successful business entity.
  7. Learn the Basic languages
International business requires traveling across borders. It is important for you to have an extensive vocabulary of at least the basic one. So that you can communicate the basic know-how of the business and even understand the marketing collaterals.

Running an international business is both exciting and amazing but at the same time, it comes with a host of different challenges. Only if you can get those challenges right then you can hit the target. It can push you ahead in your quest for expanding a business online. You need to get the nuances right and be in constant touch with all the resourceful people.

Let’s talk about Robots versus humans.

More and more parts of our lives are being automated and digitized, which is great… right?

From online shopping to ordering a takeaway, from texting to emailing, technology can make some of life’s tasks a cinch… but we’re not robots, we’re humans!

Have you ever gone back and forth over text with someone, and in the back of your mind you’re thinking “this would be so much easier if I called them!”.

Here are a few reasons why I think it’s better to talk:

  1. Speed… talking is quicker than texting & typing
  2. Enjoyment… talking is more enjoyable (depending on who you’re talking to!)
  3. Ideas… talking things through leads to more creative thinking and collaboration
  4. Fewer distractions… once you’ve spoken about something, it’s done.  You don’t have notification after notification, distracting you from all the other things you’re trying to get on with

This applies to every part of our lives – at work and at home.  It’s why our business exists.

Telemarketing as part of your business marketing strategy

Telemarketing is a key part of most businesses marketing efforts.  I’m not talking about cold-calling, those days are gone, but the days of intelligent prospecting are here! Scripted calls and generic messaging are a waste of time, real conversations, research, and understanding are where the best leads come from. From digital marketing to print, a well-rounded marketing strategy is important for the success of any business, yet the channels that perform best are those with direct customer interaction or conversation.

So if there’s a prospect you want to talk to, rather than writing an email or a LinkedIn message, why not pick up the phone and speak to them?  If there are hundreds – or even thousands – of prospects you’d like to speak to, then consider using Telemarketing as part of your marketing activity.  You can do it in-house or you can outsource it, the pros and cons of each are something I’ll write about another time!
